Vicki Campbell

Vicki has over 14 years experience as a Member of the Employment Relations Authority after being appointed in 2003 and again in 2014.  As a Member of the Authority Vicki:

  • investigated employment disputes;
  • issued more than 930 public determinations; and
  • assisted parties to resolve their issues arising from collective bargaining through the use of facilitation.

Vicki brings nearly 30 years’ experience in employment relations having worked in the public and private sectors, across a range of industries, providing advocacy, advice and representation in all facets of the employment relationship. 

    As a former Member of the Employment Relations Authority Vicki has the skills necessary to assist parties to identify, address, negotiate and resolve issues in disputes as a mediator or arbitrator.   Such services are provided in a fully confidential process and allows the parties to reach practicable and innovative solutions that are beyond the limited range of those offered by litigation.

    Vicki has developed and delivered training courses in all facets of the employment relationship for employers and employees alike.  She has delivered papers and presentations to numerous New Zealand conferences in the area of employment relations and for a number of years was the guest lecturer to students enrolled in courses in the Schools of Management and Law at Waikato University.

    Vicki is a graduate of Massey University with a Diploma in Business Studies (endorsed Employment Relations) and of Waikato University with a Bachelor of Laws.  After being admitted to the Bar Vicki returned to private practice in 2011.
